Dr. Jorge Armony is Associate Professor in Psychiatry at McGill University and researcher at the Douglas Mental Health University Institute. He also holds the Canada Research Chair in Affective Neuroscience. His main research interest focuses on the processing of emotional information and its interactions with cognition in healthy individuals, as well as in psychiatric and neurological populations. To study this, he and his group use behavioral, physiological and neuroimaging (MRI) techniques.
