Presentation by Dr. Mickael Deroche

The use of pitch by cochlear-implanted children

Mickael Deroche, Ph.D., is a postdoctoral scientist at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, specializing in research into cochlear implants in children. He holds a Ph.D. in speech perception from Cardiff University, and a Master’s degree in acoustics from Poitiers University. His key areas of expertise include musical acoustics and pitch perception, listening tests of musical instruments, and design of brass instruments. Dr. Deroche also taught classes in psychoacoustics at the Peabody Institute.
