Jonathan Bolduc, Ph.D.

Jonathan Bolduc holds the Canada Research Chair in music and learning. He is also Full Professor of music education, Chair of the Music Education Program at the Faculty of Music where he also directs the Mus- Alpha Lab. He was previously a Professor at the Faculty of Education at the University of Ottawa from 2006 to 2013.

In 2019, Jonathan Bolduc was distinguished as a member of the Ordre d’excellence en éducation du Québec. In 2012, he received the Award of Excellence in Education from the University of Ottawa for outstanding teaching combined with a strong research program.

The research interests of Professor include links between music education and academic learning, awakening to music, and the integration of the Orff-Schulwerk approach.
