Laura Mitchell, Ph.D.

Laura Mitchell holds a Ph.D. in Psychology from Glasgow Caledonian University and a Master of Science in Psychology Research Methods from the University of Strathclyde. Until 2015, she was Associate Professor of Psychology at Bishop’s University and a founding member of its Teaching and Learning Centre Initiative.  Her main research interests are in the area of music and health, emotion and wellbeing, and in particular the use of music for pain relief.
