Melody Blais, Ph.D.

I joined Professor Dalla Bella’s laboratory in October 2018 as part of a post-doctoral internship supported financially by the EuroMov laboratory at the University of Montpellier. My main research themes are 1) to implement a standardized assessment tool for children’s rhythmic abilities by adapting the existing Battery for the Assessment of Auditory and Sensorimotor Timing Abilities (BAASTA) for adults and 2) to assess the rhythmic abilities of children and adolescents neurotypical or with neurodevelopmental disorders (Coordination Developmental Disorder, Attention Deficit Disorder with or without Hyperactivity, Developmental Dyslexia) to obtain markers of a perceptual and/or sensorimotor deficit of rhythmic ability specific to each population.

Currently:  University Lecturer, University of Montpellier, France
