Prof. Bill Thompson (Macquarie, Sydney, Australie) at BRAMS


Prof. Bill Thompson (University of Macquarie, Sydney, Australia) is Invited Scholar at BRAMS in October and November 2010. While at BRAMS, Prof. Thompson will pursue his current research projects on “vocal emotional communication” and “amusia” with co-director Isabelle Peretz and her team.

ABOUT BILL THOMPSON

Bill Thompson is the Director of the Music, Sound and Performance lab, Macquarie University, Sydney, Australia. He is also President of the Society for Music Perception and Cognition (Jan.2007-Jan.2009), Editor of the journal Empirical Musicology Review, and Associate Editor of the Journal Music Perception. He is author of the book Music, Thought and Feeling: Understanding the Psychology of Music (Oxford University Press, 2008).
