Postdoctoral Research Fellow Position at BRAMS with Prof. Marc Schoenwiesner


A Postdoctoral Research Fellow position is available at the International Laboratory for Brain, Music and Sound Research (BRAMS) in Montreal, Canada. The research project involves high-resolution functional magnetic resonance imaging, EEG, behavioural experiments and in-ear real-time signal processing to understand the representation of sound features in the human brain. The postdoc will be a member of the Auditory Cognitive Neuroscience group led by Marc Schoenwiesner.

BRAMS is a collaborative research laboratory jointly run by McGill University and University of Montreal. All modern neuroimaging methods are available. Montreal is a vibrant city and a world-leading destination for brain research. The applicant will have access to a wide range of training opportunities, such the Killiam seminars, the Feindel brain imaging lectures, and various regular hands-on workshops in modern neuroscience methods.

We are looking for candidates with a PhD in a relevant scientific discipline, an excellent academic record, experience with fMRI, and strong programming and analytical skills. Experience in auditory research is a plus.

The position is funded for 4 years with an ideal starting date in summer or fall 2015. Salary depends on experience and is based on pay scales of the Canadian Institutes of Health Research and of the University of Montreal.
