A postdoctoral position (within 3 years post-PhD) is available at BRAMS, Montreal, Canada from August 2015, to work on neurodevelopmental disorders with Professor Isabelle Peretz, funded by CIHR, NSERC and Canada Research Chairs.
Neurodevelopmental disorders are studied as experiments of nature that can reveal unique information about musicality, the brain, and the genes (more details at www.brams.umontreal.ca/plab ). The approach is experimental and exploits various techniques, such as electrophysiology, functional and anatomical brain imaging, TMS and MEG.
The ideal candidate will have a PhD in cognitive neuroscience, with skills in programming in Matlab and in statistical data analysis, and a good record of research publications. Applicants with experience in one of the neuroimaging techniques mentioned above will be preferred.
The post-doctoral rate scale is $38,000-45,000 CAD plus benefits, depending on qualifications. The position is for one year, renewable according to performance during the initial year. Further information concerning post-doctoral research at University of Montreal can be found at www.fesp.umontreal.ca/en/postdoctoral-fellowships.html
Candidates should send their applications (including a letter of interest, a CV and contact information for 2-3 references) to Isabelle.Peretz@umontreal.ca. Citizens of all countries are eligible but Canadians will have priority. Applications will be accepted until August 15, 2015. Please contact Prof. Peretz directly for further details on specific projects.
