We are looking for Musicians

We are looking for Musicians ( > 5 years of professional training) without Absolute Pitch between 18~40 years and who are familiar with the three melodies below.

    1. Yankee Doodle
    2. Ode to Joy
    3. Old McDonalds Had a Farm

Firstly, we’ll run the pre-test to figure out your ability to imagine each pitch using the familiar melodies (~15 min).

Then, we’ll proceed to the brain scan of MEG and MRI.

  • Magnetoencephalogram (MEG) scan (~1.5 hours):
A non-invasive brain recording where you sit comfortably and perform listening and imagery tasks.
  • Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scan (~5 min):
A short anatomical scan to obtain brain structure images.

The compensation is 50$ after all procedures (pre-test, MEG, and MRI), and 10$ for those who did not pass the pre-test.

To participate, please write to zlabpitchimagery@gmail.com with “Volunteer for Musician Imagery Study”.

Please find the poster for more information.
