Currently Diyaa is a doctoral student in psychology at the NeuroDEVlab laboratory (CEPSUM) of the University of Montreal.

Her research focuses on the effect of music on athlete performance. She studies how athletes use music to support their training and examine whether listening to music improves their reaction time.
